Booking FAQs
CAN I BOOK NOW THAT NSW HAS COME OUT OF LOCKDOWN?
If you’re an NSW resident, who is fully vaccinated and not from Greater Sydney—yes!
NSW Residents
To comply with current NSW COVID-19 regulations, all guests must show proof of vaccination. If you are not vaccinated, you will not be able to book with us at this time. Additionally, until the state has reached a double vaccination rate of 80%, we cannot accept bookings from people travelling from Greater Sydney (including Central Coast, Wollongong, Shellharbour and Blue Mountains) as we are in a regional NSW town. After 1/12/21, any NSW resident can book Spindrift!
For more information about the state’s roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions, click here.
How to show proof?
- Your COVID-19 digital certificate.
- No phone/internet access? Your immunisation history statement.
- Head to this page for more info or options.
Entering NSW from interstate?
If you’re thinking of travelling into NSW from another state or territory, please check the current rules and restrictions in NSW as well as your home state or territory.
I’VE NOT STAYED IN A RURAL PROPERTY BEFORE—WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?
If you do decide to book—welcome aboard! We’re excited to be hosting your stay! Here are a few other bits of info you should note:
Fresh Eggs
- Please collect as many eggs as the chickens lay during your stay. Our three gorgeous Isa Browns who, despite being named, do not answer to Daisy, Frittata or Noodle, will lay fresh eggs daily from the chook house—you collect them yourself. If there are any leftovers, we will provide you with a carton to take them home.
Our Septic System
- We use a septic system to deal with toilet waste on our property. As a result, our poo policy means you can flush only your number ones, twos and toilet paper down the toilet. If something else is flushed and a blockage occurs, you may be charged for it.
Pantry Inclusions
- Sugar, fresh milk, a few coffee options including Nespresso, instant coffee and a French press using freshly ground coffee beans (grinder and beans provided), and tea—in bags, loose-leaf, peppermint infusion and chamomile packed in sealed bags.
- Mini jars of jam, honey, vegemite and butter.
- A loaf of locally baked sourdough bread.
- Fresh eggs laid from Daisy, Frittata and Noodle, our gorgeous hens!
Cleaning
- We ask that you please leave Spindrift as you find it. You’ll find more information about our house rules upon your stay.
Waste Management
- Recycling: Please put recycling material in the yellow covered bin provided.
- Green Waste: Please place in biodegradable bags—green waste only, no meat or egg.
- General Waste: Please put your waste in the bags provided tied-up waste in the general waste bin.
Hot Water
- Our current system operates on an off-peak heating timer and offers 300 litres of hot water in one day. Please limit your hot-water use so that everyone can shower and wash up with hot water. Please know, we are looking at installing either an additional tank or an instant heater system.

OUR OPERATING SEASONS
Spindrift will be open all year. There may be some months in peak bushfire season when we close for maintenance and upgrades. This can be seen on the calendar. If you have any special requests, please contact us by email, and we will respond to tailor your stay.
HOW CAN I GET THERE?
IS THERE PHONE RECEPTION?
There is limited phone reception around the property; however, there is a solid internet connection at the house. We recommend using our free WIFI and internet-based platforms for communication.
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?
WHAT’S SPINDRIFT’S WATER SITUATION?
We use rainwater from our two rainwater tanks on the property. The water is fed to the house via a three-phase filter system—rendering it safe for drinking. We also think rainwater tastes the bests and makes excellent tea. We have a soda stream machine if you’re after a bit of sparkle.
Please know, we think green at Spindrift; therefore, we do not provide bottled drinking water.
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
Yes! Your furry friends are a part of your family and are more than welcome.
However, we have a few requests:
- No matter where your pet goes to the loo, we ask that you clean up after them.
- Pets are not allowed upstairs or in the beds.
- Please ensure they do not interfere or harm the wildlife.
